The RCM Analyst provides general support for Revenue Cycle Management functions within specified area. Maintains knowledge of all Revenue Cycle Management areas and activities, while specializing in knowledge of specified area. This position works under limited supervision and provides guidance to RCM Specialists, RCM Processing Representatives, and RCM Support Assistants, as needed or assigned. Expected to work under minimal management supervision and will lead projects. Uses discretion and/or good judgment on more complex subjects. Works in a fast-paced, office environment with high productivity and accuracy standards that requires focus and concentration on tedious details and research.

The job duties for the RCM Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

• 
  Accountable for monitoring and reviewing work queues and complex high dollar and/or high risk accounts to facilitate appropriate account action and follow-up.
• Conducts analysis of complex accounts. Determines actions and completes action steps to resolve accounts.
• Recognizes the varying timeframe requirements as assigned by payor and is the primary line of defense against any timely filing potential losses.
• Collaborates with team lead/training team in recommending solutions to management related to insurance issues, departmental procedures, and operations.
• Manages denial, aged, no response, “at risk” account work queues.

What We Require:

Education: High School graduate required; extended college course work preferred in Business or Accounting.

Experience: Three years of experience in specified area or other applicable experience required. Communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency in EPIC Fundamentals required. EPIC Administrator preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to meet high productivity and accuracy standards. High focus and concentration needed for computer, analytical, organizational and time management required. Visual perception and high hand/eye coordination necessary. Requires excellent hearing, clear/concise speech, excellent finger dexterity to operate computer terminal/keyboarding as well as use of a calculator. Must be proficient with word processing, computer/PC skills. Excellent documentation and follow-up skills required.
