Retouching Artist (On-Call)

Qurate Retail Group comprises seven leading retail brands – QVC®, HSN®, Zulily®, Ballard Designs®, Frontgate®, Garnet Hill® and Grandin Road® – all dedicated to providing a more human way to shop. Qurate Retail Group is the largest player in video commerce ("vCommerce"), which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms.
The Opportunity
QVC is looking for someone to fill a temporary 4-month position as an on-call Retouching Artist. This is a great way to create a foundation with QVC and there is a possibility and option to extend after initial 4 months based on business need. Schedules are flexible and shifts vary. You will be employed to supplement the existing QVC staff. Regular weekend availability is required.
Your Impact
- The Retouching Artist treats the images for all QVC US photography productions and processing vendor provided imagery.
- Retouch large volumes of images shot by the product detail photographers.
- Prepare templates and archiving images
- Treat editorial lifestyle images for email campaigns, website banners, and promotions on the QVC website, social media, print campaigns, and the broadcast.
- Responsible for image production (cropping, resizing, quality assessment) of vendor-supplied images.
- Responsible for general image enhancement, (contrast, color); product retouching (dust, background retouching); model image treatment (hair, skin retouching techniques)
- Ensure accurate file metadata and naming conventions based on established departmental standards.
- Ensure the product images are representative of what the customer receives regarding color accuracy, quantity, and product integrity.

What You Bring
- You might have a Bachelor's Degree in Photography or related field or other relevant experience
- 3 years of professional experience in image retouching or related field
- Advanced Retouching skills
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Proficiency with Macs
- Will work remotely and onsite at QVC Studio Park in West Chester, PA.
- Will work weekends and some holidays.
- Knowledge of digital photography.
- Knowledge in Adobe InDesign is of value.
