Purpose/Function of Position: Coordinates with store manager in all aspects of The Purple Door’s Retail and Donation Center including retail sales, merchandise production, donation activities, and loss prevention activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA: Retail Assistant Manager

• Responsible for maintaining store operation when manager is off duty.
• Promotes Customer and Donor care.
• Assists in ensuring the store meets monthly sales and production goals.
• Assists in ensuring all Policies and Procedures are understood and followed.
• Is knowledgeable in all workstations within the store and production area.
• Carries out primary duty as assigned by manager.

· All other duties as instructed by the Store Manager.

• Employees must demonstrate knowledge of and performance in accordance with the philosophy of compassion, caring and respect for the welfare and dignity of others, including clients of agency, as well as staff and volunteers.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma/GED.

QUALIFICATIONS: Previous retail management experience preferred. Experience in training and managing a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Decision-making and problem-solving skills. Able to work a flexible schedule. Good math skills. Attention to detail. Some travel requiring a valid driver’s license and a personal, insured vehicle for use on the job are required.

Walking or standing to a significant degree.
