Purple Mountain Brands is looking for an experienced Assistant Retail Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our Estes Park Retail Stores. This person will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service and creating a thriving sales environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team and knowledge of business subjects such as sales, marketing etc. An effective assistant retail manager will also be able to mentor and coach employees to reach their maximum potential.


Salary: $52,000

Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Help oversee all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel. (Create schedules and assign staff location)
  • Partner with the General Manager to provide leadership and performance initiatives to all employees
  • Monitor and assist with the store’s budget and planning
  • Monitor inventory levels and daily sales numbers
  • Deal with complaints from customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
  • Manage in-store promotional events and displays
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product positioning
  • Create reports, analyze, and interpret retail data, like revenues, expenses, and competition analysis
  • Monitor sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
  • Ensure the store fulfils all legal, health and safety guidelines
  • Be aware of trends in the market and make recommendation to improve sales performance
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
  • Assist with HR/Recruiting efforts to forecast and determine staffing needs
  • Provide recruiting assistance when needed (On Spot Interviews)
  • Maintain performance reviews with HR

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of retail management best practices
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organizing and leadership skills
  • Advertising awareness
  • Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
  • Excellent knowledge of retail management software, inventory management
  • Previous experience as a Retail Assistant Manager or managing a team
  • Experience with performance evaluation processes and providing critical feedback

Additional Information


Education and Experience:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
