Residential Team Leader Job Position (Non Licensed-Licensed)
Umbrellex Behavioral Health Services, LLC is a leader in the specialized residential service provider industry.
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our company. Umbrellex works with the State of Michigan to meet the housing needs of individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities.
SUMMARY OF OCCUPATION:
_This position is considered supervisory/direct care in nature. The Residential Team Leader is expected to assist the Management Team in operations and maintaining the compliance of dedicated staffing for each consumer at the assigned site for the coverage period. Residential
Team Leader is responsible for assuring the Code the of Conduct, Policy and Procedures and Quality of Care Standard are being always upheld within the organization. Additionally, this position is responsible for the development, supervision, and discipline of Direct Care Workers at their assigned site._
Shift Leader General Job Description
- Required to work various scheduled shifts. Ability to work flexible schedules in order to meet coverage needs or to complete job requirements.
- The Residential Team Leader will also be required to be on a rotational on-call schedule at minimum 1x per month. On-Call Residential Leaders may be asked to work more than the minimum required to assist while temporary situations. While actively on call, the leader MUST answer all calls in a timely manner, report to shifts as needed and directed by Area Supervisor.
- Assists the management team to ensure that all program documentation is current, complete, and orderly at program site, this includes but is not limited to vehicle logs, service documentation logs, medical logs, behavior logs, incident reports, daily logs, petty cash logs, and monthly fire drills.
- Assists management team in motivating, monitoring and developing the team by upholding performance goals and providing effective feedback in the moment.
- Mentor team members to continuing success.
- Partner with management team to coach team members to meet and exceed performance standards
- Motivate and drive team to successfully achieve results.
- The Residential Team Leader does not have the authority to deliver disciplinary action to subordinates; however, are considered the authority lead while working with subordinates.
- The Residential Team Leader MUST report all subordinate issues and policy violations to their leadership team.
- Must be Cross Trained at all sites to support ALL consumers/shifts
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE:
· Responsibility skills show that you can be counted on to do the job.
· Effective verbal and written Communication Skills.
· Effective Technological Competence such as efficient use of desktop computers, laptops, and smart devices to manage daily tasks; including but not limited to basic word processing programs, email applications, and scheduling platforms.
· Exhibits Professionalism; including but not limited to basic customer service skills. Remember as a manager You Are The Face of The Company.
· Strong Organizational Skills that can manage an excessive amount of information.
· Exhibit strong Time Management Skills; including but not limited to, tracking how long it takes you to complete tasks, and learn what schedule optimizes your productivity.
· Effective Problem-Solving Skills; including but not limited to, handling emergencies and life threatening situations effectively.
· Adequate Planning Abilities that enable you to utilize resources, allot time, and manage staff to complete both daily tasks and major projects on schedule.
· Ability to utilize a Proactive Approach to develop a workflow that anticipates problems that could arise and take the opportunity to address those issues head on.
· Ability to present a Sense of Discretion to deal with sensitive information, such as confidential records and private communications.
· Ability to Build Relationships with clients, effectively interact with clients from diverse cultures and setting boundaries with both clients and staff.
· Ability to transport clients safely.
- Knowledge and Understanding of Child/Adult abuse/neglect and Recipient Rights.
YOU NEED:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in direct care work
- Michigan Driver’s License within 30 days from hire
PREFERRED:
- One year of supervisory experience
- Previous work experience in a Social Services or non-profit organization
- Experience working in a residential program
- Post-secondary education
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
