JOB DESCRIPTION

Come grow your career today with a well established institution providing RESIDENTIAL care in EASTERN Spartanburg County District 3. Short commute from Chesnee, Boiling Springs, Pacolet, Gaffney, Cowpens, & Hillcrest.

We are looking for those who have been called to help others. We are seeking the compassionate and the dedicated to fill several RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST positions around Spartanburg County. These are temp to perm positions w/ 2nd and 3rd shift openings as well as 12 hour Weekend Shifts.

As a Residential Support Specialist you will be responsible for training and implementing objectives in the areas of self-help, academic, recreation/leisure, hygeine, and other life skills ultimately preparing residents to live more independantly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in making sure residents have proper hygiene
• Meal prep
• Shopping
• Transporting
• Ensures that all residents are supported through opportunities to learn and develop new skills
• Actively engages with residents in a positive and meaningful manner
• Communicates any and all issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor / manager in a timely manner
• Attends trainings and meeting as required
• Development, training, and support of the residents with an aim towards independence
• Proper and timely documentation of daily events, transportation, observations, incidents, resident growth, dietary, and medical/ behavioral information.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Minimum 9th grade education
• Ability to read & write with effective oral & written communication skills.
• Turburulosis Screening Required
• Must have a valid driver's license (3 year motor vehicle report required)
• Minimal lifting required. All lifing is lift assisted.
• Basic computer skills a PLUS
