Responsible for the total operation of the community home assigned, occasionally the home assigned may change which may change according to need. The manager supervises the CLSs that are assigned to the home. The number of CLSs are 3 or more.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be available to evacuate with residential clients in the event of an emergency, such as hurricanes.
- On-call for assigned community home from 6:00 AM Monday thru 4:00 PM Friday and on assigned weekends, according to the on-call schedule.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
- Provide initial and ongoing training within the home setting to all staff to encompass the entire needs of the clients, staff and home.
- Participate in developing ISP's for the clients by giving suggestions/feedback to the Director of Residential Services as to performance levels, interests, likes, and dislikes of clients.
- Keeps accurate, current and confidential records.
- Responsible for the maintenance of banking/finances of clients in assigned community home.
- Train CLSs and follow through on all directions given on a behavior modification plan as written and inform the proper staff of progress when plans don't seem to be working.
- Plan with staff and clients recreational activities.
- Schedule, accompany or arrange for attendance at clients' appointments.
- Provide assistance in arranging transportation for any and all transportation needs.
- Complete the necessary training, when offered, to become CMA certified and maintain certification requirements.
- Administer medication to clients as prescribed by physician once CMA certified; consulting with nurse in emergency medical situations and with questions regarding medication administration; following agency policy and procedure regarding medications.
- Maintains physical facility, equipment materials and supplies.
- Provide or arrange for the upkeep of home, grounds, and vehicles.
- Respect all clients and ensure that clients are informed of their rights and responsibilities.
- State regulations and guidelines along with TARC's policies and procedures.
- Accept and carry out any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
