Residential Counselor \ Lourdes Cullum House \ Full Time \ Days
Job description
Assist and supervise adults participating in a life skills service program (e.g., Lourdes Cullum House). Assist with debriefing emotional distress; encourage personal development; monitor and guide daily living skills; coordinate services with agency providers. A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and respect for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.
Salary Range: $15.74 - $18.82
Sign On Bonus (Based on Experience) - $1,500 with experience (Pro-Rated for Part-Time Positions)
EDUCATION:
Education: Associates Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field preferred. High School Diploma required.
Experience: Six (6) month working with developmentally or mentally ill individuals in a residential setting, crisis, group home or inpatient setting preferred.
Required License: Must apply for Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification within 7 days of hire. Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire. American Heart Association Heart Savor CPR/First Aid required. Food Handlers Permit required.
Other: Bilingual and/or English/Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse populations
