Job description
MAHEC, in partnership with Blue Ridge Health (BRH), is recruiting for a Residency Program Director in Summer 2023. MAHEC Hendersonville began in 1996 as the first MAHEC Rural Residency in collaboration with Pardee Hospital, and in 2013 added an outpatient clinical partnership with Blue Ridge Health as the first Teaching Health Center (THC) in North Carolina. We are a 6-6-6 program where residents are trained in a full spectrum to care for all patients, regardless of ability to pay. BRH is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 28 locations serving communities across eight counties in the mountains of western North Carolina, and is the oldest Migrant Health Center in the United States.
This position is directly employed by Blue Ridge Health and contracted to serve with the MAHEC DIO and MAHEC Family Medicine Department Chair. The Residency Program Director will lead MAHEC residents, staff, and all faculty in the MAHEC/BRH/Pardee consortium.
