Position Summary
The Residency Coordinator supervises all clerical services in the assigned departments (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Surgery, OB/GYN or Podiatry) and provides administrative functions for the assigned Residency Program and assigned department. The Residency Coordinator supports the Administrative Director of Medical Education.

Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- High School graduate or equivalent required and a minimum of eight years administrative/coordinator experience in a residency or medical education program
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent required with a minimum of five years administrative/coordinator experience in a residency or medical education program.
- Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of three years administrative/coordinator experience in a residency or medical education program preferred
Experience And Skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Minimum 3 years related Medical Education/Residency coordination experience preferred
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Neat and legible handwriting.
- Organized with excellent follow through
License/Certifications
Working Conditions
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, often switching from one to another without loss of efficiency and accuracy.
- Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, bending.
- Carrying heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
- Reaching to retrieve or file of charts.
- Prolonged time sitting at a computer and on the telephone.
