The Role
You will provide technical support for the Chemical and Metallurgical Laboratory. You will conduct and support routine and non-routine analysis of complex and changing types of samples. You will work within and lead project teams and work independently is a necessity.
You will be reporting to Supervisor-Chemical Corrosion, and you will be onsite seated at the Racine, WI global headquarters.

The Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and material analysis.
- Conduct non-routine analysis.
- Support material development projects.
- Operate most instrumentation and beginning to perform preventative maintenance.
- Participate in work order meetings for routine analysis.
- Develop working relationships with Engineering.
- Perform supplier approval analysis.
- Perform QC analysis of process chemicals and support issues with production.
- Develop the ability to spot abnormalities in samples and recognize erroneous results in testing.
- Review new LP’s and perform a walk-through of the method for peer review.
- Create formal reports with interpretation of data.
- BS degree required in chemistry or related field with 2 – 7 years of chemist experience.
