Position Summary
The candidate must have expertise in occupational epidemiology and surveillance and knowledge of industrial hygiene is preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the following areas: medical surveillance of occupationally exposed workers, data linkage, and interventions to improve workplace safety and health. The successful applicant will be expected to lead collaborative, extramurally funded research relating to the mission of the MinER Center.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Design and lead studies. Submit research grant applications.
· Perform surveys, interviews, observations, or other methods according to established research protocols.
· Prepare data for analysis and execute details of studies. Perform analysis and document results.
· Data cleaning/extraction and data analysis and writing manuscripts and reports related to research.
· Conduct ongoing literature reviews and analyze existing and emerging research in related fields.
· Analyze studies involving large population-based datasets, longitudinal cohorts, surveillance systems, data linkage, and multi-center projects.
· Provide statistical expertise in cross sectional and longitudinal study designs, time series analysis, designing surveillance systems, data linkage, and multivariable regression modeling.
· Write peer-reviewed manuscripts and present research findings to stakeholders.
· Coordinate and communicate with community partners regarding MinER Center studies.
· Partner, coordinate, and facilitate discussions with regulatory and enforcement agencies.
· Present to stakeholders and lead seminars on various aspects of the MinER Center.
· Manage IRB applications.
· Prepare reports to HRSA, community partners, and stakeholders.
· Manage staff and budgets for research projects.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Occupational Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required. Past evidence of, or potential for, excellence in research is required, as is a commitment to addressing occupational health and safety issues.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
