Job Title: Research Assistant (Hourly)

Salary: $26.19 to $33.23

Grade: 16

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified research assistant to work on a qualitative research study regarding the implementation of the 988 national crisis hotline. The research assistant will report to the Principal Investigator of the study. This position is a temporary hourly position, with up to 15 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual will collaborate with team members on the 988 research study and related work. Duties will include attending team meetings, conducting qualitative interviews, analyzing qualitative data, conducting literature reviews and background research as needed, and writing up research results for publication to academic and public audiences. The individual should be familiar with processes related to protection of human subjects. They will collaborate with other members of the study team.

This is a part-time hourly position for an individual studying or working with people with serious mental illnesses.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidate is a graduate student with knowledge of crisis response system and criminal legal system.

RFMH employees may be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 depending on work location and must provide proof of vaccination. Individuals that are not vaccinated for COVID-19 are ineligible for appointment to positions that require vaccination. Fully vaccinated is defined as two (2) or more weeks since receiving either the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna) or the first and only dose of a single-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).
