Job description
This position is responsible for all research administrative assistant support for the Department of Radiology and the EXPLORER Molecular Imaging Center (EMIC). This position provides as administrative support for the departments research enterprise, including the the Vice Chair of Radiology Research and other faculty members and research units, such as EMIC within the Department of Radiology and Radiation Oncology. The position is responsible for meeting with principal investigators, identifying needs for support and resources from an administrative support perspective and serving as back up for CTMS invoicing and personnel support needs as directed. The position serves as an integral part of the research units and reports directly to the contracts and grants supervisor 1.
- Several years of administrative support experience required
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing and organizing an extremely heavy workload in an active and complex working environment with multiple deadlines and to distribute effort appropriately among the projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity .
- Demonstrated oral and written communications skills to prepare clear, accurate correspondence and reports; demonstrated excellent writing and editing skills to produced effective correspondence, particularly grant proposals.
- Excellent English grammar skills to compose and proofread a variety of documents.
- Demonstrated skill and experience to operate both PC for word processing, proposal submission and reports, financial reports, data retrieval and electronic mail. Knowledge of software programs Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, Power Point, Photos shop and Acrobat. Ability to use AggieBuy, AggieSurplus, Compass, and SharePoint.
- This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
