Business Contribution (impact on organization and CMM):

Accountable for performing repairs and testing of Acme Aerospace manufactured products in Acme’s FAA Certificated Repair Station.
Meets customer’s expectations for quality of repairs and contractual turn-around time for repair.

This position requires an individual who adheres to and supports Operating Procedures, Company Policies and Divisional Goals

Key Responsibilities (define scope of responsibility):

1. Responsible for disassembling, repairing and reassembling all products manufactured by Acme Aerospace.
2. Responsible for filling out requests forms and material movement tags for repair parts.
3. Monitors spare parts stock levels and initiates replacement orders as required.
4. Documents all repair and or test data on repair travelers.
5. Performs incoming inspections and basic functional tests on products returned for repair.
6. Responsible for calibration of work stations and soldering irons.
7. Successfully pass all FAA and Acme mandated training courses.
8. Utilize test equipment for in house use.
9. Surface mount and through hole assembly and repair.
10. Performs additional duties as required.

Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position):

• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner in dealing with both internal and external customers.
• Work independently (with minimum supervision) as well as in a team environment.
• Learn and comprehend the technical working of the various products manufactured by Acme Aerospace.
• Ability to read and comprehend Customer Requirements and well as interpret technical documentation and drawings.
• Must acquire and maintain a FAA Repairman Certificate (if necessary)
• Must acquire and maintain J-STD-001 Soldering Certificate
• Must be proficient in hand tools.
• Must be able to isolate electronic failures to component level

Desired Background and Experience (include education and experience required):

• Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or related study preferred
• 3-4 years’ experience in Aerospace or equivalent environment
• J-STD-001 Soldering Certification

Essential Functions (physical requirements needed in order to perform job responsibilities):

• Must maintain FAA Repair Maintenance Certification and J-STD-001 Soldering Certificate
• Must be able to communicate telephonically/electronically with support organizations’ team members/leaders.
• Must have normal range of vision, communicate telephonically/electronically with customers, team members and leaders
• Must be able to effectively listen, understand and speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce.
• Must be able to commute to various primary work locations, including ability to go by air/auto to remote sites.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be able to lift documents and work materials up to 50 pounds in weight.
• Must be able to perform the essential responsibilities of the job without or with reasonable accommodations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
