We are in search of friendly Counter People that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele efficiently.
The Rental Coordinator does a variety of manual tasks in support of the branch operation. The primary objective is to provide counter and phone support to customers and other locations. This position also provides labor assistance to mechanics, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of customers, including the checkout and demonstration of equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous counter /customer service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field preferred

- Demonstrate understanding of rental equipment
- Demonstrate understanding of rental software

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries
- Handle Dispatch Responsibilities as needed
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
- May assist in educating customers on equipment use and demonstrating equipment for customers
- Determine equipment available for rental
- Perform inventory control processes
- Load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental
- Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage and fuel levels for billing purposes
- Inspect equipment and trucks for safety decals and compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order
- Follow proper cash accounts procedures
- Follow all company Operational Procedures and QC Standards
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous sales or customer service experience
- Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred
- Basic Computer Skills
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Valid California driver’s license
Physical Demands and/or Work Environment
- Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when restocking shelves, loading and unloading equipment, processing customer transactions
- Ability to bend, kneel, walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
- Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment.
- Ability to sit for at least 4 hours per day
- Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
- Other duties assigned as needed
Pay is $25-$30+ DOE
M-F 8am-5pm
