Dispatcher/Remote

Responsibilities

• Schedule freight pickups/deliveries for owner operators and/or company drivers.
• Communicate with brokers to confirm freight pickups and/or deliveries as well as special handling requests.
• Manage freight movement from pickup and delivery.
• Plan pre-determined routes and accommodate route changes as needed.
• Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Keep track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.
• Log shipping schedules and complaints.

Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual a plus.
• At least one years’ experience as a dispatcher (rate confirmations may be requested)
• Experience using transportation load boards.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws is a plus.
• Willing to work nights and/ or weekends.
• Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills.
• Must be an early starter and reliable!

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,092.58 - $1,500.00 per week

Schedule:

• Choose your own hours
• On call
• Weekend availability
