This is a great opportunity to join the premier healthcare provider for children and adolescents in Central Texas on the ground level as a new campus opens in North Austin. Dell Children's Medical Center North Campus will open as a full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital in northwest Austin. The four story hospital will include 36 acute and critical care beds, emergency and trauma services, operating rooms, endoscopy and procedure rooms, and sedation suites. the only dedicated freestanding pediatric facility in the region. Serving a 46-county area and beyond, Dell Children’s is the premier healthcare provider for children and adolescents.
Highlights of our newest campus dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents:
- 18 bed Emergency Center with 2 Trauma/Critical Care Bays
- 4 ORs, 2 Endoscopy/Procedure Rooms. 2 Sedation Suites, 8 Pre-Op/Recovery, 13 PACU beds
- 36 universal beds for inpatient care
- In pursuit of Level 3 Trauma Designation
- 60,000 sq ft medical office building on campus

Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
- Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Must have OR experience - Pediatric experience a plus.
