Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Job Summary:

Our healthcare facility in Laurel, DE is seeking a highly motivated and passionate RN to work in our Med Surg The RN will be responsible for providing patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans under the supervision of a physician. The role requires providing care for patients with a range of medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Performs accurate and complete assessments of patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Develops and implements individualized care plans for patients
• Evaluates a patient's response to treatment and adjusts the care plan accordingly
• Administers IVs, performs wound care, and provides patient education
• Assists physicians with procedures
• Maintains accurate patient documentation in electronic health record (EHR) system
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
• Provides emotional support to patients and families

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
• Valid RN license in the state of Delaware
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Med Surg setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
