Crossroads Behavioral Health Unit is currently seeking an experienced behavioral health registered nurse to join our close-knit team on a 20 bed adult locked unit and an 8 bed geriatric locked unit. We understand that each patient has a unique set of challenges that require a compassionate and dedicated team of professionals to establish a personalized treatment and recovery plan. Qualified candidates will demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and physicians.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.

Requirements

• Must be an RN licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required
• Must have a strong desire to work with a high-risk and complex patient population
• Must have solid critical thinking skills and a strong application of the nursing process.
• Must have effective adherence to infection control practices
• Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management skills
