Ingram Barge Company, the leading carrier on America’s inland waterways, is seeking a
Recruiting Lead to join the Human Resources team in our
Paducah, KY location. In this role you will be building upon the foundation of our Marine recruiting structure and strategy. You should be driven, adaptable to change and creative as you help us test out new ideas to build the best team on the river. This is a fantastic opportunity to get intimately involved in the heart of our business by recruiting the crews for our vessels. You will play a key role in communicating our Ingram Way culture to potential new hires and taking our already strong recruiting organization to the next level!

- Working within Ingram’s hiring processes, policies, and initiatives with Leadership, making recommendations for improvement
- Overseeing full cycle recruiting processes for high-volume roles ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
- Deeply understanding the requirements for all hires and their impact on the company through relationships with key stakeholders
- Actively participating in the recruiting process as needed
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with departments that support new hire experience, such as operations, training, and human resources, and external partners like HealthWorks
- Maintaining and building relationships in the communities we serve with the intent of educating potential future associates about the industry and Ingram
- Leading by example through following, setting, and sharing recruiting best practices and The Ingram Way
- Leading and developing a team of recruiters and contingent workforce to support business needs
- Compiling, analyzing, and capturing insights from data to support business decisions – including, but not limited to source of hire, geographical areas of desire, pipeline/recruiting funnel optimization, turnover analysis, etc.
- Understanding retention and engagement, with a goal to improve new hire retention rates
- Staying current with the external talent landscape and make recommendations to our recruiting processes, policies, and/or initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Marine industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and direct a team, 2 years of leadership preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required
- Experience with recruiting, as a recruiter or hiring manager/business owner required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead projects/programs build relationships and communicate clearly and effectively.
- A keen understanding of data and the power it has in influence and decision making.
- Ability to learn and adapt to ever changing technology.
