Intermountain Electronics, Inc., is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant at our Centralia, Illinois facility. IE is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Our products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components.

The Receptionist/Office Assistant will serve as the face of Intermountain Electronics at our Price, Utah facility. This position has involvement in several different areas within the company and requires a great deal of organization. On a day-to-day basis, you will be using your skills to prioritize and successfully manage the ever-changing workload.

Major Duties:
  • Receptionist/Office Duties
Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls to appropriate personnel; take messages and forward calls to voice mail; respond to routine customer questions. Welcome and greet visitors/customers in a friendly manner, determine nature of business and announce visitor(s) to appropriate staff member. Ensure visitors complete the check in process; issue visitor passes, safety glasses, and steel toes when required. Drop off and pick up mail at the post office. Receive, sort, and date stamp mail. Make copies and assemble information for special projects as assigned. Prepare memos and correspondence; create and print fax cover sheets; send, receive and route faxed documents.
  • Human Resources
Maintain and update employee training records; assist in processing HR paperwork, forms, employment applications, filing, etc.
  • Project Management Support
Assist with various projects in manufacturing; assemble job traveler items in folders as assigned by Project Managers.
print operation manuals and part books as assigned; make equipment tags by entering information in the software program and trimming tags after being printed.
Experience and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two year’s general office experience
  • Present a professional image and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and departments.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and complete tasks independently
  • Proven flexibility to perform a broad variety of responsibilities in a very dynamic environment
  • Must possess excellent keyboard, grammar, punctuation, spelling skills
  • Strong work ethic ability to work effectively with diverse customers both internal and external
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license an abide by the conditions of the IE driving policy.
