Job description

Cove Mountain Animal Hospital is a full-service fast-paced veterinary medical facility located in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, approximately 20 miles north of Harrisburg. We provide veterinary care to Marysville, Harrisburg, Dauphin, Newport, New Bloomfield, and all surrounding areas. We are currently looking for a full-time receptionist. Must have customer service experience. Basic computer skills, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask are necessary for this job.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients
  • Answering telephones / taking messages
  • Checking voicemails / emails and responding to messages promptly
  • Intaking basic client and patient information
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Providing basic veterinary care information for successful appointments
  • Invoicing and receiving payments from clients
  • Discharging patients and providing clients with detailed instructions for care
  • Providing support to clients and staff
  • Learning about the different products our practice carries and providing information to clients
  • Basic record keeping and filing
  • Learning the Cornerstone system (our veterinary software program)

Other information / requirements:

  • Working hours are Monday - Friday, no weekends
  • Basic computer skills are required (email, data entry, Microsoft office)
  • High School Diploma / GED equivalent combination of educational and/or experience
  • Employee discounts after 90 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Duncannon, PA 17020: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
