Hours : Tuesday - Friday 7:30 - Close (anywhere from 5pm-8pm) Average 40 Hours a week, Overtime during busy season should be expected

Royal Pets Grooming Spa in Hammond, LA is looking for a receptionist to join our team. This is NOT a desk job- This position requires EXTENSIVE handling with people AND their pets, cleaning, multitasking, excellent communication and organization skills. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged. MUST be a great communicator and have a passion for pets and their families. Excellent phone and customer service skills REQUIRED. Must be able to safely and compassionately handle pets of all sizes. Individual MUST be flexible, able to multi task, and self motivated. Ideal applicant must be able to safely and accurately perform all duties within a fast paced atmosphere that is often mentally and physically demanding. Hired individual will be required to gain knowledge of all retail items and be able to assist clients with making purchasing decisions based on their need.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

*Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner *Answer and screen phone calls *Organize and schedule grooming and bath appointments *Maintaining cleanliness and organization of resources *Promote and educate clients on retail items *Occasionally provide assistance with holding, walking, brushing, bathing, drying pets of all sizes. (small and very large) *Clean/Disinfect Kennels, Tubs, and all common areas *Be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

*Proven experience as an outstanding receptionist *Outgoing and friendly personality *Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner *Time-management and organizational skills *Animal Handling experience preferred

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Mondays. Compensation depends on your experience.
