ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile system is currently made up of more than 1,000 convenience stores in California, Pacific Northwest, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Mississippi, and Alabama. The growth of the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as to other states – resulting in exciting new employment opportunities.

We are currently seeking a Rebate Specialist who will be based in Pleasanton, Ca with the option to work remotely. The Rebate Specialist is a great entry-level opportunity. This position requires a well-organized, detail-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. You are responsible for the total rebate process for Merchandising, which includes understanding and building in the system, billing, collecting, and disbursing, accounting practices such as accruals and reconciliations of supplier and manufacturer rebates and commissions.

Pay: $50,000 - $70,000/yr.

What will I do as a Rebate Specialist?
  • Use the back-office system to process supplier/manufacturer rebates for ExtraMile franchise retail locations
  • Track, bill and collect supplier/manufacturer rebates
  • Contact manufacturers and/or brokers to obtain remittance advice, other payment information and/or resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place and followed to accurately record rebates and commissions
  • Work with the Merchandising team to validate supplier agreements and promotions to ensure rebates are accurately calculated, processed, tracked, billed, and collected
  • Research rebate discrepancies, address Franchisee inquiries, and validate total rebate dollars received.
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable to ensure payments are allocated correctly
  • Other duties as assigned
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Computer savvy with an intermediate level of competency in Microsoft Excel (Ability to create/modify formulas, pivot tables and perform VLOOKUPs)
  • A history of being well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • The ability to work with a diverse team in various locations
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Back Office system knowledge (BlueCube, PDI, SSCS, etc.)
  • Administrative or retail experience (convenience or grocery store a plus)
