About the role
- This position involves supporting the technical development and application activities in our R&D Coating lab based in Norwich, New York.
Key responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, support R&D representatives’ needs for data gathering, sample prep and lab organization.
- Demonstrate a scientific curiosity.
- Work with other functions within Kerry to ensure smooth processing of sample preparation.
- Employ efficient time management techniques.
- Work in pilot scale coatings production environment to prepare samples for internal and external use.
- Support manufacturing by conducting pre-check color testing.
Qualifications and skills
- Technical degree, 2-3 years’ experience in Pharma development industry. (preferred)
- Math and measuring skills.
- Ability to blend dry mixes, organize laboratory, record processing parameters.
- Problem solving skills (scientific method).
- Ability to respond to changing priorities.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills.
- Accepts feedback.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a laboratory setting and lift 50lbs.
- Candidate must be willing to learn new concepts, must be organized and believes in team mindset.
