POSITION: RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST IV - BIO MED SERVICES

Salary Range: $43.6700 - $67.1600 /hour

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Radiology Equipment Specialist (RES) is responsible for inspections, preventative maintenance, repair and installation of ionizing and non-ionizing radiology equipment. The radiology equipment includes CR Readers and workstations, UPS units, Patient tables used in imaging, Film digitizers, radiographic rooms, fluoroscopic rooms, portable X-ray units, portable fluoro units (c-arms), DR systems, video swallow systems. Position may require travel between various Hoag locations and its affiliates. Performs other duties as assigned.

Additionally, the level IV RES performs with little to no supervision. Must be RES certified. He/she also works in advanced imaging departments including but not limited to CT, MRI, Interventional, RF Imaging, and digital Imaging.

Education and Experience

Required:

• A.S. degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience and training in advanced radiology equipment (i.e., MRI, CT, Interventional, RF Imaging, and Digital Radiography) maintenance and repair.

Preferred:

• Completed Ultrasound service training background.
• Training of basic electricity and electronics.

License

Required:

• Current California driver’s license to operate Hoag vehicles

Certifications

Required:

• RES Certification

Preferred:

• Specialize Training from OEM’s and/or Certifications preferred.
