Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer where you will be the Radiant Mercury and Global Command and Control System lead assigned to Shared Early Warning System program office in the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Acquisition Delta (SSC/SZQ) at Peterson Space Force Base near Colorado Springs, CO. Odyssey is in search of an experienced professional interested in joining a fast-paced, dynamic team supporting the United States Space Force responsible for the modernization and sustainment of missile warning, missile defense, space domain awareness and command and control systems.
This is a full-time position located in Colorado Springs, CO at Peterson Space Force Base with telework capabilities. Currently, required to be onsite one day a week - this is subject to change per the customer's discretion.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
- Manage assets; assist in design; monitor and supports multiple technology disciplines across multiple data networks
- Develops, analyzes, evaluates, and maintains all related systems infrastructure
- Communicate complete technical solutions to business partners with minimal direction using understandable language
- Manage time and work independently on multiple projects
- Support engineering efforts in all aspects of networking activities to include resources, configuration management, changes in networks, and information systems as needed at Peterson Space Force Base, CO, and other partner locations as needed
- Participate in the review and approval process for all Change Requests, Configuration Control Boards, Design Reviews, Joint Engineering Review Boards (JERBS)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance
: Must hold an active Secret level clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Education: High school diploma
Years’ experience: 15 years’ of relevant experience as it is listed in this posting
OR,
- BS/BA Degree and 10 years’ of relevant experience
Additional experience:
- Knowledge of DISA Global Command and Control System (GCCS) and Lockheed Martin Radiant Mercury
- Expertise in cross-domain solutions specifically Radiant Mercury
Preferred Qualifications:
Clearance
: Active Top Secret clearance
Education: BS/BA Degree and 15 years of experience with the responsibilities listed in this posting
Additional experience:
- Familiarity with the DOD organizational structure, in particular, US Space Force and US Air Force
Additional Information:
Location: Peterson SFB
- This position is authorized for local Telework, required to be onsite 20% (1 day a week) - this is subject to change per the customer's discretion.
Travel: Might be required (approx. 25%)
