ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acquire knowledge of and assist in all operations of the Racing Department
• This includes but is not limited to the following functions:

• Assisting in the Marketing Program for the track
• Assist in the horse claiming process
• Assist the track veterinarians in the performance of their job duties in the test barn.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the facility which would include the horse barns as well as the paddock
• Participate in financial review meetings
• Assist racing officials in the performance of their job duties.
• Assist with the job duties of the Mutuels Department.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in Microsoft Office programs/applications
• Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods.
• May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
• Must be at least 21.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of two years of college education or equivalent.
