Job description
Supervise and direct on-site personnel involved in quality control work - includes personnel administration (performance and wage reviews, promotions, time off, etc.), technical direction of activities, resolution of problem areas and/or questions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
- The Quality Control Manager reports to both the Site Management for daily operations and the Regional Quality Control Manager.
- To implement project quality control activities in compliance with applicable company standards and programs.
- Prepare quality control procedures (ITP's), review other department procedures for compliance with quality control requirements, and implement project specific ITP's.
- Provide necessary outgoing correspondence and insure compliance and/or correctness.
- Participate in review board meetings to resolve nonconformance areas. Follow-up to insure corrections are implemented.
- Perform internal/external audits to insure quality control requirements are implemented and/or maintained.
- Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.
- Maintain work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
- Assist in resolution of company nonconformance reported by others.
- Coordinate quality control program with job site departments and subcontractors.
- Create and implement site specific work packages
- Receive, date, stamp, and control all document transmittals to and from the customer
- Assure through auditing that the field is working with the latest documentation
- Report on quality of work tasks; compaction and concrete testing, non-destructive examination of welds, etc.
- Perform additional duties per direction of the supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years supervision experience in industry
- Experience preparing quality control procedures (ITP's), review other department procedures for compliance with quality control requirements, and implement project specific ITP's.
Experience performing internal/external audits to insure quality control requirements are implemented and/or maintained
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $114,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
