Quality Lab Supervisor - 2nd shift

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Provide oversight to daily operations, including direct reports on the shift/crew and effectively communicate with other supervisors.

2. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance and treat everyone with dignity and respect.

3. Understand the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.

4. Must be a Lead role in the understanding of Quality practices, such as specification ranges and testing methods for training and developing of assigned employees.

5. Incorporate Safety into all aspects of the operation and ensure that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are followed at all times.

6. Provide guidance, training and supervision to employees in the performance of their duties.

7. Able to build rapport with employees through effective communication and engagement efforts.

8. Must be comfortable in dealing with third party inspectors, corporate quality, and company sales associates.

9. Must be able to record quality data and other results in the manner required.

10. Must be willing to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

11. Adaptable to shift assignment and overtime requirements.

12. Computer skills needed for data entry, reporting, review and/or revise documents in Microsoft Office Programs. Process will involve quality data or require comments related to the production operation.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience as a supervisor in a full-time or relief role is preferred but not required.

2. Applicant should be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

3. Strong leadership, effective verbal and written communication, time management, decision making, and people handling skills and the ability to work in a diverse workforce environment must be demonstrated.

4. Must have the ability to communicate with external customers.

5. Ability to develop relationships in a diverse workforce environment by prioritizing coaching and engagement.

6. Applicant should have critical problem-solving skills and identify bottlenecks and implement solutions including but not limited to LEAN methodologies.

7. Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

Requirements:

1. Must be available for overtime, weekends and call-ins as required.


Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
