POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, supports, and implements total quality programs. Designs, specifies, and installs quality control sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and equipment. Formulates and/or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures and development of quality standards. Monitors and controls costs, timing, and other related aspects of projects. Serves as a liaison and coordinates activity of internal and external resources. Serves as a resource by providing a problem solving function by initiating action to overcome obstacles as they are encountered and prevent potential quality problems. Assists internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems. Investigates and solves manufacturing-related problems in assigned area using formal problem-solving tools. Analyzes and develops suppliers products to obtain maximum productivity and reviews performance in operation and provides suggestions for improvement. Champions continuous improvement efforts. Researches, recommends, implements and administers new and/or existing quality assurance processes. Engages in comparative and competitive analysis to ensure utilization of most appropriate and beneficial techniques in each situation respectively. Performs other duties as necessary. the investigation and solutions to manufacturing-related problems in assigned area using formal problem-solving tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field with understanding of advanced quality engineering practices, principles, and processes.
  • Minimum 5-7 years diverse professional experience including strategic decision making within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, ability to lead and manage several large and complex projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others through support, training, etc.
  • Ability to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization. Able to represent the company in a professional manner with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to thoroughly research, recommend, and oversee implementation of new products, materials, processes, etc. and present information.

DUTIES:

  • Supports the Business Units to assure that customer issues are appropriately championed to assure quick, accurate issue resolution and customer satisfaction with Electronics’ response.
  • Plans, supports, and implements total quality programs utilizing customer specific requirements concerning APQP, FMEA’s Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Statistical Techniques & PPAP’s. Defines scope, plans, organizes, leads and directs technical work and departmental efforts related to quality engineering activities for new and existing programs.
  • Responsible to assure that quality systems meet or exceed TS-16949 standards within the division.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
