Quality Control Technician – Batch Process Control

Essential Job Functions
Quality Control:
As part of the quality team daily tasks could include:
· Run daily quality control line checks as directed.
· Run routine chemical tests for quality per test procedures.
· Monitor and control batch processing of chemical blends in daily production.
· Track and process daily production batch sheets.
· Able to be trained in rail car management and offload processes.
· Diligent and competent record management.
· Lot control and record keeping of all incoming raw materials and rail cars.
· Assisting production team as needed.
· Able to climb on ladder and use basic wrenches and tools.
· Able to lift 50lbs. if needed.
· Ability to work with laboratory testing equipment such as pH meters, titration pipettes, specific gravity testing.
· Versatile with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
· Completing administrative functions; data entry and filing.
· Verifying production lines are setup in an effective and compliant manner.
· Review of documentation.
· Formalizing and drafting quality and operating procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.

Quality Support:
· Overseeing and performing off-loading of bulk raw materials.
· Support of site compliance culture, ensuring quality is the top priority in every function performed.

Environmental Support:
· Support the site Regulatory compliance by ensuring the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan is being followed.
· Labeling and inspecting of bulk raw material and process tank including all transfer lines.
· Assisting in the disposition of all materials, whether it is hazardous waste, rinse, bulk neutralizations, etc.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Some college preferred but not required
• Previous Quality Control experience preferred but not required
• Will train right candidate
• Competent using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
• Good math skills
• Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand, to walk, to sit, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, to reach with hands and arms.· Able to climb a ladder and use basic wrenches and tools.
• Occasionally required climb or balance, to stoop, kneel, or crawl, to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater)
• Required to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust or focus.

Work Environment:

• Potential exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Work environment is around and with hazardous chemicals.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Protective clothing or equipment is required including: gloves, helmets, safety-toed boots, and protective eyewear.
