Ride Operator
Essential Job Functions –
Responsible for the daily activities relating to operation of zoo rides. Rides operate
7 days a week, weekends may be required. Operator is to learn minor maintenance that is required in the inspection of rides before operating. Position has significant emphasis on customer service. Supports onsite events in the staging and monitoring of activities.
Supports the operations team in basic duties, when needed.
Complies with all Zoo policies and procedures. Zoo perks included!
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lifts, carries or moves objects or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, stand and sit for extended time periods within indoor and outdoor environments.
Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to form and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and team participants.
- The ability to convey information through written and oral expressions, sharing information willingly, utilizing tact and diplomacy.
- Report to work at assigned time; provides adequate notice of absences and uses leave time appropriately; safely operates assigned equipment and provides for proper use and maintenance; work area is kept clean and orderly; time is efficiently used for assigned tasks.
- Ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor and positive attitude while working under any conditions.
- Must be 18+ years in age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with attraction ride operations
- Experience in providing customer service.
Work Environment – Shared team office
- Part-time
- 16-29 hours per week, weekends required
- Designated driving position

Pay Range
- $9.75 - $10.25 per hour
