POSITION TITLE:

Psychotherapist/Psychologist

POSITION TYPE:

Full-time, W-2 employee of the practice

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

An established psychology practice in the heart of Chicago is seeking a full-time psychotherapist (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) or psychologist (Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Pre-License Professional) to meet expanding clinical demand for high quality mental health care. The clinician’s primary responsibilities will include completing intake and diagnostic evaluations and providing psychological services. Additional responsibilities include participation in clinical consultation, developing professional connections, and contributing to practice growth and development. Seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, self-starter who is passionate about therapy and interested in contributing to both client care and development of a healthy, collaborative, and sustainable group practice.

SALARY INFORMATION:

Psychotherapist – Range starting at $60 per clinical hour with an expected annual income between $60K and $80K

Psychologist – Range starting at $80 per clinical hour with an expected annual income between $75K and $90K

ABOUT THE PRACTICE:

Dr. Jason Hacker formed the practice in 2016 with a mission to provide high quality, evidence-based, psychotherapy in a sustainable and flexible environment centered around client care, clinical expertise, and serving the diverse Chicago community. Dr. Hacker is an expert in anxiety disorders, addiction, and men’s issues with a specialized focus on gaming and technology addiction. Dr. Hacker is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, has served as a graduate instructor, and is a regular speaker on issues of men’s issues, mental health, and technology.

The practice was designed to model the values of the clinician with an emphasis on quality clinical care, sustainable case load, development of interests outside of clinical work (training, research, community presentations, sustaining a professional network). The practice is rooted in strong relationships with Chicago area providers, college mental health centers, psychiatrists, medical professionals, and area treatment programs. The practice is growing with numerous referrals that far exceed the current clinical capacity.

The vision is to grow a medium size practice, expanding at a manageable pace to allow psychotherapists to meaningfully develop their interest, expertise, and skills. Clinicians will receive clinical and administrative training and development to build expertise and independence. In addition, as a full employee and team member there will be ample support, collaboration, and reward for professional skills beyond service delivery.

The practice provides a well-furnished, stylish, and professional clinical working space with in-office coffee and tea for clients and clinicians. Office is centrally located in the Chicago Loop with easy access to all public transit, parking available below Millenium Park. Hybrid work model with clinical delivery in-office and flexibility to work from home providing telehealth services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide therapy services to adult and adolescent clients presenting with a variety of concerns.

· Maintain a case load necessary to provide 20-24 hours of clinical service weekly.

· Keep up to date clinical records and treatment plans.

· Participate in clinical consultation or supervision with practice founder and colleagues to develop clinical skills and share expertise.

· Collaborate with professionals in the field in areas of well-being, medicine, and education.

· Develop professional interests beyond clinical work that integrates with your clinical specialty and aligns with the mission of the practice.

· Participate in education and training opportunities for the entire practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field with a license to practice in Illinois (Clinical Psychologist, LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT).

· Doctoral degree holders who have completed all licensing requirements with exception of post-degree clinical hours are encouraged to apply.

· Committed to culturally competent clinical care.

· Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a highly cohesive group.

· Demonstrated interest in development as a professional and interest in working in a group practice setting in the long-term.

· Experience and interest in integrated therapy approaches and evidenced-based practice.

· Exceptional communication skills, organization, and responsibility.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Ideal candidates will display the flexibility, compassion, and clinical judgement necessary to support clients and move them forward toward their goals.

· Interest and experience in addressing men’s issues, masculinity, and mental health.

· Interest and experience in addressing problematic technology use and impact of technology on mental health.

· Interest and experience working with addictive behaviors or substance use disorders.

· Knowledge and experience with trauma informed treatment and evidenced based techniques.

· Possess an innate desire to grow as a professional inside and outside the therapy room.

· Ready to contribute to a clinical team, add to the expertise of fellow clinicians.
