Job description

We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Eastern Connecticut. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations of two affordable housing communities in the Killingly region. The successful candidate should be highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A working familiarity with the RD (Rural Development) and LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) programs are a must. This position will report directly to the Director of Property Management.

Property Management responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Marketing, waitlist management, and leasing
  • Screening and recertifying tenants
  • Rent collections and evictions
  • Turnovers and move-outs
  • Supervising on site administrative and maintenance staff
  • Communication with residents and resolution of complaints and issues
  • Handling emergency situations as needed
  • Budget preparation
  • Processing payables and receivables
  • Inspections

Skills and Qualifications

  • College education or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of multi-site multifamily property management experience.
  • Familiarity with Rural Development and Low Income Tax Credit programs required.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Proven professional leadership and supervisory skills with a demonstrated ability to select and hire direct reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to follow-through to meet resident, agency, and organizational needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
