We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our finance team in the multifamily property management/real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in property accounting, a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, and proficiency in Yardi, Appfolio, Microsoft Excel, financial reports, and multifamily real estate accounting. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records for assigned properties and ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Manage and track property budgets and expenses, including rent collections and payments.
• Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with property managers, leasing agents, and other stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings as required.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in property accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in property accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in Yardi, Appfolio, and Microsoft Excel required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of multifamily real estate accounting preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• CPA or CMA certification a plus.
