A Lucid Motors Project Manager, Facilities is responsible for the development and execution of capital projects. The Project Manager, Facilities will develop preliminary scopes, schedules, and budgets. This person will also manage vendors, consultants, contractors, Lucid stakeholders, and relationships with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s). Candidate is expected to develop strategies for executing projects, including exploration of options, sequencing, and phasing. Candidate shall be able to work independently, while keeping management and teams fully informed. Candidate is expected to have a working knowledge and understanding of model building codes, design and permitting processes, construction administration, and project closeout. Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects.
You Will:- Responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of Lucid Facilities projects, including pre-design, design, construction, move, and closeout processes.
- Responsible for managing and mentoring Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
- Responsible for soliciting design and other consulting proposals for design work.
- Responsible for managing the solicitation of bids for construction work.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, coordinating with internal Lucid teams including Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable.
- Participate in preparation of stakeholder presentations for executive approval of projects.
- Coordinate with other Facilities and Lucid departments including Real Estate, Security, IT, and EHS.
- Site visits, due diligence, and documentation.
- Regular project status reporting.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
You Bring:
- Requires 2+ years professional experience.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical), or construction management.
- Must have excellent communication abilities (oral and written).
- Professional demeanor.
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Visio, and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of project scheduling.
- Competence with Primavera P6 preferred.
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment, as a leader as well as a role player.
- Willingness to cross-train for other job functions.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
