Job Summary: The Project Manager is part of the Strategic Initiatives team for Equity Bank. This team is highly influential and is responsible for driving the strategic projects of the company. This position is strategically minded, an influencer, driver for change and focused on customers and business performance with quality. This position will need to deploy a flexible analytical skill set to deliver insightful data and analysis, model business scenarios, define metrics, and address operational challenges with a quantitative approach. The principal goal will be to use data to drive better business decisions. The Project Manager will deal with complex problems and ambiguity by using a variety of tools to find answers and can work with large amounts of data with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Plan and manage multiple complex projects.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies to ensure successful completion of organizational strategic objectives.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of a business need, define the project goals and charter, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Communicate progress, risks, expectations, milestones, and other key project metrics to the Executive Sponsor, Project Leader, and team members.
- Establish collaborative relationships to achieve objectives.
- Recommend improvements to established business processes while continuing to deliver high value in execution.
- Build project plans with work break down strategy in mind.
- Build dashboards for ease of use and quick decisions.
- Discovery of current state processes and building the future state through process mapping.
- Build relationships of trust across functions and organizations; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.
- Anticipate the needs, risks, and challenges of projects.
- Develop creative and practical solutions based on evaluation of multiple factors.
- Assist Lines of Business in resourcing the strategic projects of Equity Bank.
Required Skills & Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of project management best practices and strong organizational skills; PMP and CCMP certifications or equivalents are highly desirable.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the project/program management space leading cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and emerging needs. Experience should also include influencing executive and senior management leadership and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to leverage organizational change management practices to drive successful business outcomes.
- Ability to achieve buy-in at executive and all levels and influence without authority. Can readily understand business drivers, program impact, and individual motivations.
- Consistently demonstrates good judgment, critical thinking, and creative solutioning.
- Experience in large data set manipulations and a background in mathematics.
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner

Physical Requirements
