About the role: Boston Scientific is seeking a Project Lead II to serve as the central facilitator between Global Sourcing and product development program teams. The Project Lead II partners with commodity teams and cross functional engineering teams to procure/develop materials, drive risk mitigation efforts, and drive component production readiness for new and next generation products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities across multiple functions, communicate to multiple levels, and form relationships/trust quickly
• Facilitate efforts between project teams and commodity teams to drive component production readiness, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability
• Drive supplier management project execution by communicating tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing/executing contingency plans
• Influence cross functional engineering teams to reach best results through technical and business knowledge base
• Identify/Understand risk levels and take appropriate action to avoid project impact
• Estimate supplier engineering resource and material cost requirements
• Communicate/Resolve project issues by working with commodity team members, project customers, and others as appropriate
• Identify and drive process improvement and efficiency opportunities for NPD material management team
• Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
• Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering discipline

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device industry experience preferable
• Excellent leadership attributes, written/verbal communications, and facilitator/customer service skills
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management
