Program Support Specialist
Job description
This position is ideal for a strategic leader with strong knowledge in professional communications, operational planning, coaching, analytical skills, and references to support their track record of dependability. The Program Support Specialist has an excellent performance in an office setting as well as the flexibility to apply their skills with youth at various programs.
Specialists will be working to support participant progress and help them to learn the applicable content. Some responsibilities include program planning, outreach, and community connections. They will organize and prepare for special events (i.e., Holiday Party), and ensure the safety and care of youth. The Program Support Specialist will be assigned tasks in accordance with the seasonal needs of the company and/or site and remain compliant with the organization’s handguide.

Some daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing for lessons ahead of time
- Daily use and familiarity of Microsoft applications
- Prompt email correspondence
- Supporting youth to successfully complete activities
- Plan learning activities and complete records or lesson summaries
- Managing class behavior by recognizing the participant's need for emotional support
- Supervising group and individual activities
- Maintaining policies and procedures within or outside the program site • Participation of mandatory trainings
- Scanning, copying, development, storing, and organization of program documents (physical and digital copies)
- Responsible for locking up, caring, and cleaning organizational inventory utilized at the site, in additional to reporting anything low in stock or needed to management
- Practicing appropriate attire and professional communications
- Submitting daily progress report
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Tinley Park, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
