Classification/Job Summary:

The Academic Program Coordinator reports to the Institutional Coordinator for Graduate Medical Education. The Academic Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned academic programs. Ensures that the necessary standards are met and maintained at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the resident program and serve as an important liaison and facilitator between learners, faculty, and other staff members. (40%)
  • Serve as a key member of the residency program leadership team, possessing skills in leadership and personnel management appropriate to the complexity of the program (15%)
  • Apply knowledge of accrediting body requirements, policies, and procedures to assist program leadership in administration of educational programing, and support of program director, faculty, and residents (40%)
  • Engage in professional development to develop knowledge base and professional skills required in the role (5%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
