· Brief Intro

The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the Regional Director in carrying out the mission and vision of Catholic Charities West Virginia. The Program Assistant’s primary responsibilities are to assist in the Regional Director in all aspects of program implementation, as well as assist with fundraising and parish relations. In addition, the Program Assistant is also in charge of office functions in the Morgantown Office, and will carry out various program functions at the request of the Regional Director.

· Essential Job Duties

· Provide office coverage, oversee office functions in the absence of the Regional Director

· Assist Regional Director with developing and maintaining relationships with regional Catholic parishes

· Conduct face-to-face interviews with clients to assess needs utilizing agency’s guidelines and resources

· Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure sufficient coverage at pantry sites and for other program events

· Assist with regional fundraisers/seasonal events/special events

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Experience in the social service field preferred

· Experience with program implementation preferred

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and utilize effective time management techniques.
