Reidsville Veterinary Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced groomer to join our team!

To be considered for this role, candidates much have prior grooming experience, a portfolio of past work, and professional tools/equipment. Our clinic is equipped with a grooming table, tub, and dryer, has an established client base, and is offering flexible scheduling—set your own hours! Our clinic is open 24 hours and our support staff will book appointments and contact customers so you can focus on grooming.

You are responsible for all grooming services, from start to finish:

• Bathing, drying, grooming/hair cutting as requested by client, styling, brush out, flea treatments, clipping/filing nails, gland expression, dematting, ear hair removal, brushing teeth and cleaning up
• Keeping your area clean throughout day and end of shift
• Engaging with customers to ensure their requests are understood
• Evaluating the condition of the pet and addressing any styling/grooming concerns
• Must have prior knowledge and comfortability working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Must have prior knowledge of breed grooming standards
• Certificate in grooming is a plus (portfolio is required)

• $7.25/hour + 50% commission on grooms (minus wages paid) + 100% tips

We are a multi-doctor, AAHA accredited practice offering exceptional patient and client care, with a culture that promotes teamwork and communication. We operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year to ensure Reidsville pets are cared for in the event of an emergency. Aside from emergency cases, we also provide less urgent medical, surgical, and dental procedures, and are well-equipped to provide first rate pet care to our patients. Our hospital is comfortable, kid friendly, and calm, to ensure pets (and their owners) have a relaxing and enjoyable time. We primarily treat small animals and some of our additional services include laser therapy, high-tech reproduction, and house calls.
