A Production Technician job in North Billerica, MA is currently accepting applications. This is a direct-hire position with our key manufacturing client. In this role, you will be responsible to assist with all shop production and setup operations. (Machining, welding, HT, spinning, shipping). To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an HS Diploma along with 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Production Technician Responsibilities:

• Finish handwork, assembly, polishing and grinding operations on parts to achieve drawing requirements with no supervision.
• Assist with all shop production and setup operations. (Machining, welding, HT, spinning, shipping)
• Hot spin helper operations that include operating head stock and compounds to perform job, rotating of the tooling or part, setting up, starting and monitoring torches to achieve and maintain proper tooling and part temperatures.
• Ability to perform basic fabrication operations including drilling, tapping, buffing, de burring, generation of weld preps and other process to prepare plates, in process parts and rework parts for manufacturing.
• Rigging, staging, flipping product and tooling for all operations
• Trimming operation of aluminum product.
• Setup and operate expander.
• Material handling operations that include but not are not limited to the moving of parts and tooling between operations and storage, removal of scrap.
• Clean up of machinery and tooling, coat tooling with proper rust preventatives, perform general shop, yard housekeeping clean up and emptying trash.
• Organize and maintain product and tooling storage, maintain proper inventory levels for shop supplies, production parts and hand tools.
• Packing operations on WIP and finished components.
• Basic fabrication operations and removal of material test coupons.
• Perform other duties as necessary in order to complete other tasks.
• Tradesperson demonstrations a working knowledge and follow all of the PPE requirements for the utility position.
• Must have a valid OSHA fork truck license and hold lC and 3A hoisting license.
• Demonstrate accuracy in all documentation and job reporting

Production Technician Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. in conjunction with the ability to read and write English and must be able to read blueprints.
• 5 years' experience basic fabrication, material handling or maintenance
