Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team.


Schedule:
Tuesday to Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm


The Production Supervisor provides leadership an assigned team to “Win the Shift/Day” for the Production department via rigorous application of Amerilab processes and is present on the floor 75% of the day. This role is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the team of employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations activities in a nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, building accountability and delivering desired results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organizational and objectives are met.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable DCC and Amerilab policies and procedures
  • Ensure the execution of the production plan to support business requirements.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with the specifications set forth by the customer and Amerilab and maintaining or exceeding, manufacturing standards, yields and efficiencies.
  • Actively lead in “Winning the Shift” by positive communication and working well within the team.
  • Promote communication and teamwork across shifts / crews as applicable.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Provides leadership and direction to the Manufacturing team.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
    • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Work together with the management team to provide orientation and training of employees.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Ensures that all required documentation for production records is completed according to policies.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Safety Protocol:

  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:


Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • Three years of experience, preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products company in a lead or supervisory role required.
  • Five years of experience working with automated manufacturing lines used to produce tablets and powders preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, or similar field preferred.
  • Minimum three years leadership experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Skills Required:

  • People management and influencing experience, with exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Knowledge of equipment qualification, facilities, preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to foresee problems or issues before they arise and select the best course of action to prevent and/or resolve the problem.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with members across the organization.
  • Ability to lead operators daily, including coaching and mentoring operators.
  • Ability to provide feedback and insight to management regarding the daily operations of the production department.
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization
