responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate information in the production and inventory control system.
• Coordinate and stage work in manufacturing areas to meet schedules and optimize resources.
• Troubleshoot and take action to resolve discrepancies in paperwork or system information to ensure accurate work in process data.
• Develop and implement daily work schedules, capacity plans, and build plans in coordination with other functional groups.
• Adjust workloads to reduce or avoid bottlenecks at gateway centers.
• Participate in team meetings to develop and implement plans to achieve team goals.
• Coordinate release of material/components to fill shortages for orders in work in process.
• Work with planners for new parts procurement and/or processed parts requirements on a daily basis.
• Develop and maintain recovery schedules to support customer requirements. Adhere to company safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience dispatching, shop scheduling, or production planning experience in a computerized manufacturing system environment or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities is preferred
• Proficient in the application of MRP2 concepts.
• Knowledge of material requirements planning, capacity planning, and shop floor control required.
• Knowledge of AMAPS preferred.
• Knowledge of A.P.I.C.S. concepts/principles preferred.
• Ability to provide positive leadership/training in a team environment.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
