Job Description: Pure Green Farms is currently seeking a Production Plant Maintenance Tech who will be responsible for all activities related to repair and maintenance of a high-tech greenhouse facility located in South Bend, IN.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with Managers and Department Leaders to address/respond to mechanical, electrical and issues and trouble calls.

• Assists and executes preventive maintenance programs to keep the plant operating efficiently.

• Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.

• Assist with Inspection and monitoring of work areas, examine tools and equipment, and help maintain a safe working environment to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.

• Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance.

• Utilize and maintain electronic maintenance programs and computer information management systems.

• Follow General Facility Safety and Food Safety and Quality Programs.

• Maintain accurate daily work records.

Requirements: Utilize and maintain electronic maintenance programs and computer information management systems

• Experience with Industrial/factory maintenance required; corrective/breakdown experience preferred.

• Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus

• Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, open-minded, and positive attitude a must

• Ability and openness to work flex schedule/weekend days as needed

• Knowledge of plumbing, electric and hydraulics needed.

• Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of personnel

• Knowledge of plumbing, electric and hydraulics needed

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

• Ability to adapt and to be responsive in the face of changing and evolving order demands

• Learning and following all food safety and quality policies and procedures

• Ability to make critical decisions quickly and repeatedly

• Must have manual dexterity

Education/Experience:

· Engineering Degree or equivalent experience/education.

· 2-4 plus years of plant maintenance

· Previous warehouse or product process environment experience a plus

· Forklift operator experience/training a plus

Working Conditions:

· Working in greenhouse and semi-refrigerated warehouse for prolonged periods where temperature average 45 to 75 degrees

· Position requires sitting, standing, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods

· Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
