The transaction is anticipated to close early in the second calendar quarter of 2023. Upon closing of the acquisition, Post expects to create a new pet food platform within Post Consumer Brands. This role is part of the team of 1,000 employees who will soon join the Post family to focus on and grow these iconic pet brands.

Location Description:
Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be a key partner in successfully delivering the overall volume plan for several of Post Consumer Brands Co-manufacturing partners, and in doing so, achieve stated objectives in the areas of customer service, schedule attainment, cost to execute, and inventory management. Your experience & skillset will be utilized in analyzing, assessing, and collaborating with all functional partners such as Co-manufacturing management, Logistics, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and others in working solutions to achieve the production plan while surfacing risks as well as opportunities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all functions related to production planning: scheduling, capacity planning, & inventory control
  • Develop weekly/monthly finite production plans and support long-term production planning to meet inventory, customer service, and distribution goals
  • Ensure transparency of production plans/requirements among partner co-manufacturers, internal co-manufacturing management, project teams, logistics, and others.
  • Analyze and determine replenishment requirements to insure available inventory for sourced finished goods
  • Create inter-company shipments supporting cross-functional cost and execution metrics
  • Allocate available production to distribution centers for push distribution environments covering customer orders, inter-company orders, safety stock and forecast
  • Act as single point of contact for customer service in identifying supply solution alternatives
  • Manage deployment activities in support of special projects and acquisitions
  • Analyze and determine rules for inventory and replenishment plans that meet company service standards while minimizing supply chain costs
  • Facilitate the review and resolution of potential inventory shortages and aging issues
  • Identify root cause for product stock-outs
  • Monitor inventory levels of sourced items and identify opportunities for inventory reduction
  • Support supply planning manager with projects, inventory discussions, and analysis using system and off-line tools.
  • Ability to support manufacturing sites as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience with emphasis on Production Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, and/or Inventory management is required
  • Experience with enterprise planning systems is preferred; knowledge & experience with MPS, MRP, Capacity, and deployment planning software is required
  • Project management experience or familiarity with project management concepts and principles is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills & strong desire to identify improvement opportunities
