Founded in 1812, the Waterbury Button Company (https://waterburybutton.com/), a division of OGS Technologies, LLC, is still proudly manufacturing metal buttons for the US Military, Police and Fire Departments, top fashion brands, among many others here in Cheshire, CT. Currently we are looking for a Production Planner to join our team who will be responsible for managing and coordinating the production schedule. The main role is to create and maintain a production plan that optimizes the use of resources and maximizing timely delivery of products.

The primary responsibilities of a production planner include:

• Developing production schedules and ensuring that they are aligned with sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Collaborating with various departments, including sales, operations, and procurement, to determine production requirements and resource availability.
• Analyzing production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and recommend process changes to increase efficiency.
• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are available to meet production schedules.
• Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Maintaining accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production data.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring the accuracy of data in the ERP system, including inventory levels, order information, and production schedules.
• Collaborating with IT teams and software vendors to troubleshoot issues and make necessary updates to the system.
• Providing training to other employees on how to use the ERP system, including best practices for data entry and reporting.

To be successful in this role, a production planner should have excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. They should also have a strong understanding of production processes and logistics, as well as experience working with production planning software and tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
